Our People
Jenni Marshall
Managing Director
Jenni joined Mitchinsons Accountants in 2008 and now manages the practice with the help of the Mitchinsons team. Jenni is FCCA qualified and has over 20 years of accountancy experience and expertise gained from working in industry and practice before joining Mitchinsons. After gaining experience working for larger firms Jenni enjoys working in a small practice supporting a broad range of local clients both businesses and individuals.
When she is not working Jenni enjoys keeping fit and being outdoors, making the most of living near the Lakes and is currently working towards completing the Wainwrights.
Adam Forrest
Accountant
Adam oversees VAT return preparation for our clients and prepares annual accounts and tax returns for a wide range of businesses and individuals. He is a newly qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and was awarded a gold medal for achieving 1st place globally in his recent professional examinations.
Outside of the office, Adam enjoys long walks through the countryside and socialising with friends.
Ruth Phillips
Receptionist & Administration Assistant
Ruth is the cheerful voice on the phone who welcomes you to our office. Ruth is a people-person and ensures that your enquiry is routed to the right member of the team. Ruth provides essential administrative support and assists with accountancy and bookkeeping tasks.
In her spare time, Ruth loves socialising with friends and family, walking, discovering new and hidden places, and if that’s too busy, reading a good book.
Sarah Fallows
Payroll Manager
Sarah manages the payroll services for our clients including processing payroll and ensuring auto-enrolment pension obligations are met. Sarah also prepares Construction Industry Scheme monthly returns and sub-contractor deduction statements for clients working in the construction industry. When not managing the payroll and CIS she also prepares vat returns and accounts for clients. Sarah studied AAT and has many years of accounting experience.
Friendly and sociable, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, live music events, walking and keeping fit.
Rachel Harrison
Accounts Administrator
Rachel studied her AAT qualifications in Kendal college before starting her role with us in 2023. Rachel prepares client’s VAT returns and annual accounts. She enjoys talking to clients and makes sure we have accurate and precise records.
When not at work she is busy with her children, family & friends and loves travelling to new places.
Archie Catnach
Accounts Trainee
Archie is an accounts trainee and currently assists with client bookkeeping and administration tasks helping the office to run smoothly. Archie has a Mathematics degree from Lancaster University and is currently studying towards his AAT qualification. Archie has always loved working with numbers.
When Archie is not looking at numbers, he enjoys the outdoors, playing a variety of sports and travelling.

Opening Hours
Please note that from Monday the 5th June 2023 we will be trialling the following new office opening hours. The aim of this change is to hopefully benefit both our clients and our team.
Mon – 9am till 6pm
Tue, Wed and Thurs - 8.30am till 5pm
Fri – 8.30am till 1pm
We are available for appointments outside of these hours on request.
